Shower Pan Resurfacing, Bathtub Patching, and More

Chips and Cracks

Our unique repair process allows us to mend chips and most cracks in bathtubs, showers, sinks, and countertops. Using a specially formulated resin that adheres to and strengthens the original surface, we fill chips and seal cracks. Once smoothed, the area is seamlessly covered by either resurfacing or simply being matched to the area.

To repair a chip or a crack in a fixture, our technicians will clean the area and apply a 2-part reinforced resin that adheres to, and hardens to, the surface. It fully cures in minutes and remains strong for a lifetime. The area is then smoothed to seamlessly match the surrounding surface. It’s then color-matched and sprayed, leaving you with a repaired area that’s indistinguishable from the rest.

Don’t Settle for a Cheap Patch

A store-bought or plumber-installed shower or bathtub patch can not only look bad, it may not even work. Quick and cheap repair work can often result in an unsightly bathtub patch and can leave the tub or other fixture worse off than it was before the “repair.” That’s why Utah and Arizona’s Choice Resurfacing has led the way in unrivaled bathroom and kitchen repair. Our shower pan resurfacing, bathtub patching, and other related repair services are extremely durable, long-lasting, and blend seamlessly with the surrounding surfaces. Don’t settle for less than Choice Resurfacing’s best.

Leaking Shower Pan

We can repair and resurface leaking shower pans in one of two ways. For smaller cracks and hairline fractures, we place a revolutionary water-resistant seal on top of the existing surface. This seal fills in any cracks or fractures that are, or may potentially cause, leaking. The seal also creates a smooth, solid surface that’s highly resistant to future cracking.

When larger cracks or structural damage is an issue, we use a more intense shower pan resurfacing method known as a “full-bottom rebuild.” As the name suggests, we basically rebuild the bottom of your bathtub or shower using fiberglass mesh and resin to create a stronger surface. Once the new bottom has been added, we leave a seamless repair by resurfacing over the top of it. We also use a similar, but less intensive, process to solve problems with pooling water.

Both repairs require a resurfacing job to cover and seal the work against water and damage.Rust Repair, Rust In Bathtub

Peeling or Failed Resurfacing Job

When your previous refinisher’s work fails, call Choice Resurfacing. We’re more than happy to fix the damage and provide you with the quality you deserve. We’ve found that the most common cause for failed resurfacing is improper adhesion, which can result from numerous factors. This is why we use our proprietary and independently tested Choice Lock bonding system accompanied with a thorough preparation process to ensure a lasting hold.

If a fixture has been previously resurfaced by a different company, it may be necessary to remove their product in order to ensure proper adhesion (never trust a refinishing job that’s simply placed over previous work). By removing the old product, we ensure that the new coating remains strong and intact for years to come. Once the original surface is uncovered, we properly adhere the new coating for a lifetime of easy care.
